With the holiday a full weekend of Racing was set. The Loren Barstad Memorial race series was set for Saturday at I-90 speedway in Hartford and then two nights of racing at Husets. Saturday night at Hartford started off well running 2nd in the heat race and making the redraw. The draw was 9 starting Jody in row 5 of the feature but he was able to make his way up to third by the end of the night. Then on to Husets to pull double duty on Sunday night in the 360 and 410 class. A couple more top tens for Jody on the night as he once again finished 3rd in the 360 class and 8th in the 410. Monday night was the final night for the Barstad Memorial Weekend at Husets in which Jody came home with a 7th place finish on the night and a 3rd place finish overall in the Barstad Memorial points. All in all it was a good weekend to pay respect to an awesome guy in the racing world. JRR was proud to be able to run all three races in Loren's memory and finish well each night.
