Driver Jody Rosenboom and the Team Crown sprint car team ended the year with another championship under their belt by winning the point title at Husets Speedway. The team also accepted the award “Team of the Year” they shared with the 2d team of Dusty Ballenger. “We’re honored to be recognized as a team of the year by the organization we raced for. It really gives us a boost as a team to know that someone was paying attention. Dusty and his guys were deserving of the award as well. They did a heck of a job and it’s really fun when you can race with people you consider good friends as well” commented team owner Jason Johnson.
Jason reflected on the year as a whole, “We had a decent year, and I’m happy with the results, but I think in some spots we left a little on the table. Winning the points was big, and gave us a title to hang our hats on. We’ve only run for points at places a handful of times and usually it’s worked in our favor. I think this upcoming year we’ll shy away from doing that and concentrate more on running better at bigger shows. There are feathers in my hat I wish I had, and we’re going after those this year. I just want to thank all the sponsors, family, friends, and fans. They’re all the biggest reason we are able to do what we do. It’s just a charge to see the people around us get excited about what we do!”
