Another Recovery

6/21/2010

Team Crown Racing rolled into Jackson Speedway for the third time of the year with high hopes of a strong run. A strong run would ensue, but it would have to come from deep in the field once again. A piece of debris coming into the cockpit hit the kill switch and shut the car down momentarily on the first lap of the heat race. “That really hurt our chances of having a really good night”, said team owner Jason Johnson. “We were looking pretty good there through the first corner and probably would have run well enough to gain a decent starting spot in the feature. I think our speed in the feature was good enough for a top 3 for sure with a decent starting spot, but that just wasn’t our luck early on. We did manage to run up to 5th, but prior to that the motor was getting hot and just wouldn’t run like it should. We got passed on that last restart with the ill running motor, but all in all we ended up alright from where we had to start.” Driver Jody Rosenboom is turning heads at Jackson the last few years driving up through the field and had this to say, “I’m having a blast at this place! We’re really getting faster every time we come here it seems and we’re going to get a win here soon!”.

Look for Team Crown to be at Redwood Speedway on July 8th, and I90 Speedway for the ASCS show on July 10th.
