Barstad Memorial
Saturdy night the JRR team decided to race at I-90 Speedway in Hartford, SD to pay tribute to an old friend by racing in the Loren Barstad Memorial race."Loren was always a good friend to us and a great guy to have at the racetrack. We are glad to race in his memory." In the heat race Jody managed to work his way from a 7th starting spot to a 3rd place finish putting him in the A main. Starting 6th on an extremely dry slick race track Jody spun coming out of corner 2 and drove into the infield to avoid being contacted with other racers. As he was off the racing surface no caution came out and our night was done. "It was a tough break on the outcome of the race."
